CREATING A POSE IN DAZ3D STUDIO

1-Run Daz and go to content >> figures >> daz people >> Victoria 4.2 quick start (other DAZ figures wont work properly when uploaded to grids).
Or download and install SL avatar mesh from http://secondlife.com/community/avatar.php

2-View >> Tabs >> Check on this 3... Timeline, Tool and Power Pose,

When you create your animation, frame 0 needs to have the figure in the zeroed position and the actual animation begins on frame 1.
Victoria is in zeroed pose in key frame 0 just how it must to be.

3-Click on frame 1 in timeline and start moving Victoria bones untill the desired pose be accomplished.

Go to Rotate camera (figure) and rotate tool (body parts) when needed.

4-Get help pinning bones by clicking -Toggle Pins- (on Tool) after select the bone or bones(Ctrl key for adding bones) you want to be frozen while you move other parts.

5-One last thing, you have to rise up Victoria a little from ground in order to prevent Avatar hidden feet into floor in world.
You can do it by rising Victoria pelvis, or in Parameters >>General>>Transform>>Translation>> YTranslate...4 or 5, it is enough depending on your avatar height.
Now it is finished and the whole figure has to be selected and saving as scene so you can retouch afterward or else you do export to VWs. So RC or Double C on victoria and select the whole figure.

6-File>>Export. A pop-up window will ask you about exporter options. You simply accept (not checking SL compatibility) and save to your hard drive as bvh format.

7-When in your favorite Virtual World...File >> upload animation

8-On uploader window...Get Loop checked and play animation so you can see movement...if not happy with result...Cancel and go back to Daz for retouching.

Sometimes you have to exaggerate body parts pose on Daz before you can see on virtual world animation-window and then you can relax them a little.
So if you want closed feet together you may need to place feet really crossed in Daz and so on.
